Jakob Hegner is a drummer, producer and mixing engineer born and based in Berlin. He studied jazz drums at the University of Music Dresden under Prof. Sebastian Merk and Eric Schäfer. Early on he started producing and mixing his own music and already looking back at a wide-ranging discography. With his Band LELÉKA he won the 10th Burghauser Jazzprice 2018 and was nominated for the German Jazzprice in the category band of the year 2022. Mixed and produced by himself their last album “Sonce u Serci” was a critical acclaimed release in the european jazz scene and lead to touring festivals like Elbjazz or Jazzahead. Jakob mixed the double LP “liquid lines” by olicia, which got nomineed for the german jazzprice 2022 in the category debut album of the year. He works as a producer for the crossover/R&B singer EVÎN, with whom he released the EVÎN EP in 2022, championed by Notion, C-Heads Magazine or 1LIVE. Since he moved back to Berlin he focuses on creating and producing, merging his jazz backround with hiphop. He works with different Artists of the berlin music scene and beyond like Nomé, Rayne, NanaBCool, Alina Pash etc.
